When a screw is used through several parts, its smooth shank and thread transition can determine whether the joint seats correctly. Shi Shi Tong helps you review that arrangement before production. This Phillips pan head machine screw uses plain stainless steel with a partially threaded right-hand machine thread.
Spacers, washers and panel tolerances can shift the receiving thread relative to the smooth shank. A nominal overall length may look correct while the usable threaded section lands in the wrong position.
What we review with you: The complete stack, receiving depth and location of the first full thread. We assess feasible grip and threaded lengths, identify the controlling dimensions and discuss sample checks at the relevant assembly limits.
A nearby bend, raised edge or undersized clearance can stop the pan head from contacting its intended surface. Tightening harder does not correct a geometry mismatch.
What we review with you: The head underside, hole opening and surrounding surfaces. We assess changes to the head envelope or length where appropriate, then use your fit feedback to confirm whether the proposed design reaches the intended seating position.
Repeated maintenance places demands on both the Phillips interface and mating thread. Driver access, surface condition and the material pairing deserve attention when choosing a replacement screw.
What we review with you: The stainless specification, mating material, recess and access arrangement. We can provide samples for your assembly and service checks, then incorporate the accepted dimensional requirements into the production specification. Installation conditions remain part of the complete joint validation.
Material / finish: Stainless steel / plain.
Head / drive: Pan head / Phillips.
Thread: Partial right-hand machine thread.
The alloy, head dimensions, smooth length, threaded length and tolerance are confirmed for the order. The smooth shank is not automatically a precision locating shoulder, and its length is not defined by a fixed half-thread ratio.
Tell us where the screw stops or which parts remain loose. A section drawing, sample details or photographs can help identify the interface to review. We assess manufacturing feasibility and sample requirements, then agree the final dimensions and inspection plan after your representative assembly checks.
For this stainless partial-thread screw, we connect the grip dimensions with the head and recess requirements during drawing review. Material, process and tooling are assessed together so the approved sample can be translated into a defined production specification.

Inspection priorities include smooth-shank length, thread transition, usable thread, head contact and recess fit. We agree the relevant measurement and acceptance requirements with you. This gives repeat orders a reference for the features that determine seating across the assembled stack.

Certified scope: design and production of screws. We review material and product-specific documentation against your order requirements.

Customer discussions help us understand the stack and maintenance conditions behind a screw request. Bring the mating-part details and sample observations into the review so our team can focus on fit and repeatability rather than only matching a nominal size.
These figures describe company-wide customer cooperation.
Can it replace a full-thread screw?
We review the receiving thread and stack before assessing that substitution; the engagement location changes.
Can you help define the smooth length?
Yes. We can assess the assembled dimensions and clarify the grip and thread-start requirements for the drawing.
Do you need a complete drawing before discussion?
No. A sample description and mating-part information can start the review; the manufacturing requirements are clarified before approval.
Send the stack dimensions, receiving thread, stainless requirement, tool access and quantity. Explain where the screw fails to seat or how service removal is affected so we can discuss the relevant design and sample checks.
