This long machine-screw configuration uses a stainless steel pan head and right-hand thread with a plain finish. The required length, diameter and drive are established from the assembly drawing. For a long shank, alignment and handling requirements need attention alongside the head and threaded connection.
Provide the distance between the head seating surface and receiving thread, including all intermediate components. Show clearance holes and any guides along the path. Identify the minimum and maximum stack conditions so the proposed length provides engagement without bottoming or unintended projection.
Specify under-head length, full-thread length and any plain shank region. Include thread diameter, pitch and tolerance class. Long screws may need different combinations of plain and threaded sections, so the drawing should describe where each feature starts and ends rather than only stating overall length.
Identify the assembly’s sensitivity to shank deviation and the method used to evaluate it. Define straightness, runout or other relevant requirements with their datums and inspection conditions. A long part should be assessed against a practical measurement setup that reflects the features controlling installation.
Review Your Long-Screw Assembly Span
Specify pan-head diameter and height, drive details and tool access. Describe how the distant end reaches the receiving thread and whether a guide or fixture is used. Sample assembly should examine alignment and thread pickup across the full span, not only head seating at the accessible end.
Shi Shi Tong reviews length-to-diameter proportions, head geometry and the selected stainless grade before confirming tooling and production. The required thread distribution and final surface condition are included in the process plan. Feasibility is assessed for the specific combination rather than inferred from a general maximum-length statement.

Checks can cover the specified length, straightness-related criteria, head geometry and usable thread. Agree how long parts are supported during measurement to avoid inconsistent results. Functional checks may use representative clearance holes and the receiving thread when the installation path is critical.

Identify the stainless grade, material standard and any records required for the order. Confirm whether plain finish is sufficient or an additional treatment is specified. Review available company documents for their scope and define any product-specific inspection reporting needed.
Agree packaging support and handling requirements that help preserve the approved condition during transport. Keep the accepted inspection method and assembly-span dimensions with repeat orders. A change to the stack, clearance path or receiving-thread location should be reviewed before reusing the previous length specification.
Send diameter, under-head length, threaded length, pan-head and drive dimensions, and stainless grade. Include the assembly-span drawing, alignment requirements, quantity and target date. State packaging and inspection needs so the quotation covers production and delivery of the finished long part.
