Last week, Shi Shi Tong screw manufacturers received an inquiry from Singapore. The customer said that he would like a socket shoulder screw stainless steel and gave us the drawings of the screws and asked if we could produce them.

When looking at the drawings, we found that the requirements for the socket shoulder screw stainless steel are very strict. In the step part, the length tolerance of the step is required to be +0/-0.05mm, and the step diameter is +0.05mm/-0mm. The tolerance requirement elsewhere is +/- 0.1 mm.

If we usually produce socket shoulder screw stainless steel with stainless steel, it is usually produced by cold heading, and the screws produced by cold heading are not so small, especially the tolerance of the step part, only 0.05mm, and the tolerance of the machining is also the smallest. +/-0.05mm. To achieve the customer’s tolerance, the grinding machine is required. This is the manual 1 grain, the cost of the screw will be very high.

So we asked the customer if they must have such a small tolerance. The customer said that the tolerance of this screw is really small, otherwise, they will have problems when assembling. Then we reported the price of the screw to the customer, who said that as long as we can do it, the price is acceptable.
